The Indulgge team wanted to build a mobile app that would help users find upcoming events in the city they're in. The app needed to serve as a single point of information for users to find events, share them with friends, and even make a purchase when required - a one-stop-shop for entertainment needs.
The app presents curated content based on the individual's interests. Simple inputs allow the app to understand likes and dislikes. Filters allow events to be viewed by city, date, top 30, and even by genres like music, movies, sports, etc. The app offers an intuitive interface allowing a user to review event details, share them with friends via chat, make plans, and even purchase tickets.
An important challenge with the Indulgge app was determining how to prioritize what information and functionality to show the user according to their particular use case. In order to create a seamless and intuitive user experience, we created three primary sections. First was a 'top events' section that lets the user scroll through the latest events happening in his or her town. These are curated based on the user's interests. The second section was 'My Events', where users can save and review the events they want to attend. The third was a chat group section where friends can chat and plan to attend events together. Using use-cases and user flows, each section was wireframed and iterated on, until all user needs were accommodated in an intuitive and useful manner.
Once the brand identity and app user experience were defined, we created a detailed visual design for each screen of the user interface. The app color scheme and icon design were determined based on the brand identity. Since the Indugge app was developed for Android, the interface followed Google's material design guidelines.
